At Black Girls Tech Too (BGT2), we are dedicated to amplifying the presence of Black women in technology through dynamic youth mentorship and education. Our mission is to unlock the potential of Metro-Detroit’s youth by providing them with hands-on technical workshops that open doors to the vast opportunities in STEM fields. Collaborating with schools, community centers, and libraries, we bring the thrill of careers in Cybersecurity, Software Development, Health IT, and more to life. By showcasing these exciting fields, we ensure that all voices are heard and all talents are represented, driving a more inclusive and diverse tech industry. Who are we
Our Board of Directors, comprised of five visionary Black women, is passionately committed to increasing diversity and empowering Black youth to confidently pursue careers in technology. Despite the lack of representation they may see, our directors work tirelessly to show these young minds that they belong in the tech space.

Youth Outreach
BGT2 provides outreach services for the youth of Detroit and its metropolitan areas. This includes in-person and virtual technical and financial literacy workshops.

Our mission is to help young women discover and pursue careers that not only align with their passions but also harness their full potential.
